90 Years of Chess Tradition
Anniversary open blitz tournament marking 90 years of ŠD Pomgrad Murska Sobota

To mark 90 years of the club, ŠD Pomgrad Murska Sobota invites chess players to an anniversary open blitz tournament to be held at Terme Vivat in Moravske Toplice.

Eligibility
All players who register in time and hold a valid FIDE ID are eligible to take part.
Schedule
7 November 2026
- Registration check-in: 9:00–9:30
- Opening ceremony: 9:45
- Round 1 starts: 10:00
- A lunch break is scheduled after round 6.
- The remaining rounds follow immediately after the results are processed.
- The prize giving ceremony will take place approximately 10 minutes after round 11.
Tournament system and time control
- 11 rounds of the Swiss system.
- Time control: 7 minutes + 3 seconds increment per move.
Entry fee and registration
Entries must be submitted no later than 1 day before the start of the tournament. You can register online on the tournament website at www.sah-drustvo-ms.si/90let (you will receive a confirmation e-mail once your entry is submitted) or through the contact person listed below, who is also available for any further questions.

The entry fee is:
- 15 € for adults,
- 10 € for players under 18,
- grandmasters (men and women) are exempt from the entry fee.
The entry fee is paid at check-in.
Your entry must include:
- first and last name,
- FIDE ID.
Lunch
A lunch break will be organised after round 6. A buffet lunch will be available at the Hotel Vivat restaurant for 20 €. Lunch is not included in the entry fee.
Prizes
The total cash prize fund is 2.100 € gross + a trophy for the winner.

Each player may receive only one cash prize. All prizes are stated as gross amounts. Slovenian citizens must provide a tax number and an identity document in order to be paid. Foreign nationals must provide a tax number and an identity document showing their address abroad and their country of tax residence.
Other provisions
The tournament will be submitted for the FIDE blitz rating.
Anything not specified in these regulations will be governed by the tournament rules. The FIDE Laws of Chess and the rules of the Chess Federation of Slovenia apply.
Photography and filming
The organiser reserves the right to photograph and film the tournament and accompanying events. Photographs, video recordings and the results of the tournament may be used to report on the event and for the organiser's promotional and archival purposes on websites, social networks and in other media.
